Bruce Ho

Associate

Bruce Ho is a sport and performance psychologist at Mind Gap, where he works with athletes to strengthen focus, resilience and confidence across both training and competition. He has supported Malaysian national athletes and brings hands-on experience across squash, field hockey and sailing — sports that demand fine control of attention and composure under pressure.

Bruce holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Northumbria University in the United Kingdom. His practice is built on evidence-based mental skills training, and much of his work centres on the moments that quietly decide performance: the build-up to competition, the reset between points or plays, and the emotional regulation that keeps an athlete clear-headed when the stakes are highest.

A recurring theme in Bruce's coaching is bridging the gap between theory and the field: translating what the research says about focus, arousal and confidence into simple routines an athlete can actually use on the day. Whether he is helping a squash player settle their nerves before a match or a hockey squad hold their structure late in a game, the aim is the same: give athletes practical mental tools they trust when it matters most.
