Dr. Melody Kong

Melody is a clinical psychologist and performance mentality coach with a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology from Monash University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Taylor’s University. She integrates clinical and sport psychology to support athletes and high-performing individuals with both performance enhancement and mental health concerns, including anxiety, burnout, self-image and identity issues, attentional difficulties, and performance-related stress.

Melody regularly works with clients in individual, corporate, and team settings, and has experience supporting athletes across various sports, including squash, tennis, gymnastics, swimming, table tennis, and esports. Drawing on her clinical training and background in competitive squash, she understands the psychological demands of training, competition, injury, and career transitions. She also facilitates mental health and sport-specific workshops that focus on building mental resilience and achieving sustainable performance.

Her work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with interventions tailored to each client’s needs and performance context. Melody is committed to helping clients develop strong psychological skills to perform well and thrive in both sport and life. Did You Know?
