Eizat Firdaus

Associate

Eizat is a Sport and Exercise Psychologist with a Master’s degree from University of the West of England (UWE). With a strong academic foundation and practical experience working with athletes, he specialises in helping individuals improve their mental approach to training and competition.

His interest in sport psychology grew from competing himself and wanting to better himself not just physically but also mentally. From here he became deeply interested in how mindset, confidence, and emotional control influence performance. Over time, this developed into a passion for helping athletes better understand themselves and perform more consistently under pressure.

Eizat works with athletes ranging from primary school students to young adults across various sports such as rugby, golf, disc golf, tennis, fencing, and chess, supporting them in areas such as overcoming anxiety and mistakes, building confidence and a winning pre-performance routine. His approach is practical, simple, and athlete-centred, ensuring psychological skills can be applied directly in real training and competition environments.

He believes that strong performance comes from more than talent alone. By developing mental resilience, self-belief, and self-awareness, athletes are better equipped not only to perform well, but also to grow through sport. His work emphasises long-term development, healthy perspectives, and sustainable confidence rather than quick fixes.

Through his work, Eizat aims to help athletes perform with clarity, confidence, and purpose — both on the field and beyond it. Did you know? * He is a 7 handicapper golfer on a long-term pursuit of a scratch (or better) handicap, he currently attacks all par-5s in two to catch that ever-elusive albatross.

* Outside of sport, he’s a board game enthusiast who enjoys strategic thinking, calculated risks, and—on rare occasions—making decisions that may slightly test friendships.

* He is a forever Blue, and surviving the post-Tuchel era has quietly built a level of resilience that transfers well into both sport and life.
