Louis Moi
Junior Associate
Louis Moi is an esports performance and mentality coach at Mind Gap, specialising in the psychology of competitive gaming. He works with esports athletes on the mental side of performance — managing emotion in high-pressure matches, sharpening focus through long sessions, and sustaining performance across a full competitive schedule.
Louis holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from HELP University and is currently pursuing a Master's in Counselling at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT). Having competed across several sports himself, he understands the competitor's mindset from the inside, and pairs that with hands-on experience supporting esports players.
His approach is humanistic and athlete-centred, integrated with solution-focused strategies. Louis believes optimal performance begins with emotional understanding and psychological safety — that players perform at their best when they feel secure enough to be honest about what they are experiencing. In practice, that means building supportive environments where athletes can process emotions, develop mental resilience, and step into competition with real confidence rather than borrowed bravado.
