Putri Nur Syakirah
Junior Associate
Putri is passionate about understanding the mental side of sport and performance. She holds a Bachelor’s in Sports Management from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) and a Master’s (MSc) in Psychology of Sport and Exercise from Leeds Beckett University, blending her academic knowledge with her own experiences as an active athlete to explore how psychological skills like resilience, self-awareness, and emotional regulation can support athletes in reaching their potential and maintaining well-being.
From a young age, Putri has loved sports and staying active. She regularly engages in Ultimate Frisbee, running, badminton, and gym training, giving her first-hand insight into the mental challenges sport can bring. Her personal journey has shaped her appreciation for psychological skills, which she actively applies in both sport and everyday life.
Putri often uses herself as a case study, applying sport psychology strategies during challenging periods when her mental well-being is tested. Through these experiences, she has developed a strong belief that athletic success relies not only on physical training but also on mental strength, self-awareness, and resilience. She is passionate about promoting mental health awareness and helping athletes and individuals recognize the power of psychological skills in achieving sustainable performance and overall well-being. Did You Know?
She completed her first half marathon in the UK!
She loves taking on new challenges, even if it means crying, doubting herself, and then figuring it out (growth comes with tears, apparently).
She also loves sharing her running and sports journey on social media, hoping to inspire others to get moving too.
